Prayer Petition

For the Week of May 6th
Open Our Spiritual Eyes

Scriptural Prayer:  Acts 9:17-19
17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength.

Praise and Worship
Lord God, You are the Restorer of sight and the Healer of our souls. We praise You for Your transformative power, which turns persecutors into preachers and enemies into missionaries of Your gospel.

Praying God’s Will
Father, just as Ananias obeyed Your call to go to Saul, help us to heed Your voice, even when it leads us to unlikely places. May Your will be done in us as we seek to be instruments of Your love and grace.

Praying the Request
We ask, O Lord, that You would fill us with Your Holy Spirit, just as Saul was filled. Open our spiritual eyes that we might see Your truth more clearly and serve Your purposes in our generation.

Praying for Forgiveness
Forgive us, Merciful God, for the times we have acted out of fear or prejudice. Forgive us for the moments when we have failed to recognize Your work in others due to our own biases.

Praying for Protection
Protect us, Almighty God, from spiritual blindness. Guard us against the scales that can form over our eyes, preventing us from seeing Your light and truth.

Praise and Worship
We worship You, O God, for the miracles You perform in the human heart. Thank You for the example of Saul's conversion, which gives us hope that no one is beyond the reach of Your grace. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.

Church of the Week
This week we are praying for Midtown Church; Pastor Bob Balian / Pastor Efrem Smith / Susie Gamez, Co-Lead Senior Pastors.
