Joseph S. Sissac
Our Senior Pastor is Joseph S. Sissac. Pastor Sissac has served as our leader since January 25, 2015, after an intentional and prayerfully planned succession by our founding pastor, Bishop Parnell M. Lovelace, Jr., D.Min.
Pastor Sissac was born March 13, 1976, in Chicago, Illinois to parents, Marquita Hanvey (Vernon) and the late Michael Stephen Sissac. He was raised on Chicago’s South Side where he received his early education. He received his formative spiritual beginnings through the ministry of the Prince of Peace Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, Chicago, IL, under the leadership of Elder Chester Lee Dickerson, Sr.
He has successfully completed courses of study at Illinois State University, Capital Bible College, Sacramento City College, and William Jessup University. He is currently continuing his higher learning at Western Seminary.
Pastor Sissac is a successful church planter and organizer. He has a broad background of ministry that includes youth, young adults, and missions. He served two years as a missionary in Mexico. A native of Chicago, he served as a teaching professional for several years. He has been actively involved with the Juvenile Justice Chaplaincy Program in Sacramento, CA. He also developed and facilitated the Ministry Strategy and focus of the Center of Praise that presents the clear and pragmatic characteristics of God, relative to understanding His interface with His people and our response within the context of vision and mission. He carries a heart and desire to see lives, our city, the community, and the world transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
“When Jesus gave the command to ‘go and make disciples of all nations’ He gave the solution for all the unrest in people’s hearts and the devastating outcomes. The Church’s mandate is carry on the work that Jesus began through the power of the Spirit by making disciples.” – Pastor Joseph Sissac
Our pastor has a profound ability to convey biblical truths in an easy to understand and life-application construct.
He esteems his predecessor, our founding pastor, as his spiritual father. He has also been influenced by the prolific ministry of renowned Hebrew scholar, William McDonald, Ph.D., Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
We are blessed to have as our lead shepherd and pastor; one who possesses wisdom, a prayerful spirit, and great discernment. He truly reflects the following scriptural passage:
"Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding." Jeremiah 3:15 (NKJV)
He is married to his lovely wife, Lady Victoria, who stands in prayerful support with her husband, as they serve God’s people together.
