Praise and Worship
Almighty Father, we thank You that, as we have received an unshakable Kingdom, we will be thankful and please You by worshipping You with holy fear and awe. We thank You, Father, that You have not given us the spirit of fear or timidity but love and power and self-discipline. Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with Your love, so that we may share love with others. Father, we praise You. You are Spirit, and You are Love. You are Creator, King, and a devouring fire. We are blessed to know that Your love is more important than ritual.
Praying God’s Will
Wonderful Father, Your living Word discerns the thoughts and intents of the hearts of men and women. Spoken out of the heart of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the proclamation of Your eternal and greatest commandment. As Your dear children, we commit to love You with all our hearts, and with all our souls, and with all our minds. This is the greatest and most important commandment of all. In the same spirit, we also commit to love our neighbors as ourselves. We declare that the Holy Spirit fills and controls us, as we commit to doing God’s will. We commit to living a righteous life. We will treat people with kindness. We will be patient and will not return evil for evil. We will let our light shine so that people will see our good works and glorify our Father. We put our all on Your altar, O God, for You have given us the Holy Spirit who has filled our hearts with love.
Praying the Request
Holy Spirit, equip us to share Your love through patience and kindness to others. Remind all believers that love is not jealous, boastful, proud, or rude; it is not irritable and keeps no record of wrongs. Help us demonstrate God’s love, as given to the world through Jesus Christ, by never losing faith. Quicken in us the remembrance that prophecy and speaking in unknown tongues will become useless without love, but love will last forever.
Praying for Forgiveness
Holy Father, we ask Your forgiveness for all acts of sinfulness. Forgive us for at times being irreverent and apathetic towards You. Forgive us for murmuring and complaining and not showing our love and appreciation for all that You do for us. Forgive us for at times being impatient with our neighbor. Father, we walk by faith and not by sight. As we stand in faith as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ, we seek forgiveness from any and all persons against whom we have intentionally or unknowingly sinned.
Praying for Protection
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Praise and Worship
Eternal Lord, You are God alone. You created the heavens and the earth; You put everything in its place. You made the world to be lived in, not a place of empty chaos. You are the Lord, and there is no other. You only speak what is true and declare only what is right. In Jesus’ name, amen.
