Prayer Petition

For the Week of April 22nd - 28th
Anoint Us Afresh with Your Spirit

Scriptural Prayer: Luke 4:16:-20 

Praise and Worship
Lord Jesus, we honor You, who in the synagogue at Nazareth, declared the fulfillment of Scripture in Your coming. You came to bring good news to the poor, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed. We praise You as the Anointed One who fulfills God's promises.

Praying God’s Will
Father, as Jesus proclaimed Your favorable year, help us to live in the reality of that declaration. May we be bearers of Your good news, actively participating in Your mission to heal, liberate, and restore.

Praying the Request
Lord, anoint us afresh with Your Spirit. Empower us to bring good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and sight to the blind. Use us to declare Your favor and grace in a world in need of Your love and truth.

Praying for Forgiveness
Forgive us, Merciful Father, for the times we have failed to embody Your mission. Forgive us for being indifferent to the suffering around us, and for not using the freedom we have in You to serve others.

Praying for Protection
Protect our hearts from complacency and our minds from being conformed to this world. Empower us to stand against injustice and to be instruments of Your peace and reconciliation.

Praise and Worship
We worship You, Lord Jesus, for You are the fulfillment of God's word. May Your Spirit rest upon us as we seek to follow in Your footsteps, proclaiming and living out the gospel. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.
