For the Week of September 25th - October 1st
A Prayer for Peace in the Middle East
Scripture Reading: Psalm 148, Psalm 108:6-13
Praise and Worship
Majestic Father, thank You for Your compassion, mercy, and grace toward the people of the Middle East. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ for all of humankind and for giving Your great peace to those who love Your instruction. Great and marvelous are Your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, King of the nations. Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your Name? All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous deeds have been revealed.
Praying God’s Will
Eternal Father, it is Your will that all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and reverence. This is good and acceptable in Your sight, for You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, we pray for the people of the Middle East. We stand against the demonic powers that rule in this region of the world and command the devil's satanic operations to cease, NOW! Satan, the Lord rebuke you!
Praying the Request
Holy Spirit, scatter the enemy who is at work in this uprising like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind. Fortify Your people who live in the Middle East and continue to help them to pray. Please protect the innocent and surround them with Your shield of favor, and provide safe passage for those who are fleeing the violence and chaos. Holy Spirit, empower our leaders to make decisions that align with Your plans. Remove fear and anxiety, and increase Your wisdom, knowledge, and discernment within them. Stir the hearts of Christians around the world to pray.
Praying for Forgiveness
Compassionate Father, we ask You to forgive all of us worldwide for our repeated rebellion against Your righteousness throughout the centuries. Forgive us for looking to other gods and expecting Your blessing. Forgive us for our autonomous behavior and expecting Your peace and prosperity. Have mercy on all of us. We, as a world community, need Your help. Holy Spirit, remind us all, especially the people of the Middle East, to be forgiving and help us to be quick to forgive.
Praying for Protection
Magnificent Father, help the people of the Middle East to not yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
Praise and Worship
Eternal Father, royal power belongs to You, for You rule the nations. Holy, holy, holy, are You, the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. You reign over the nations and You sit on Your holy throne. Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
