Prayer Petition
For the Week of July 22nd
Fill Us with Your Holy Spirit and Power
Scriptural Prayer: Acts 10:34-38
34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. 37 You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
Praise and Worship
O God of all nations, we praise You for revealing that You show no partiality, but accept those from every nation who fear You and do what is right. You are just and Your love is for all Your creation. We worship You for sending Jesus, anointed with the Holy Spirit and power.
Praying God’s Will
Lord, just as Peter declared the truth of Your impartiality, may we embody this truth in our actions and relationships. Help us to love as You love, without distinction or discrimination, extending Your grace to all.
Praying the Request
Father, fill us with the Holy Spirit and power, that we might go about doing good and healing all who are under the oppression of the devil, in the authority of Jesus Christ. Equip us to be Your hands and feet in a world in need of Your touch.
Praying for Forgiveness
Forgive us, Merciful Father, for the times we have harbored prejudice or failed to recognize Your image in every person. Forgive us for not always seeking justice and showing mercy in the way of Jesus.
Praying for Protection
Protect our hearts from narrow-mindedness and our minds from misunderstanding. May Your Spirit guide us into all truth and give us wisdom to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You.
Praise and Worship
We offer praise to You, Lord, for the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. May we be faithful witnesses of His life and ministry, as we seek to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
